About Our Auction

* Online Auction - Starts 1/24/2025 12pm (pst) - ends 2/2/2025 at 8pm (pst)

Okinawa Association of America will ring in the new year and celebrate the year of the snake at our annual New Year’s Party on Sunday, February 02, 2025, at the Carson Community Center. Members, dignitaries, and friends will be treated to an afternoon of Okinawan entertainment, live music, delicious food, silent auction, raffle prizes, and fun.

We understand it may be difficult for many members, family, and friends to attend the New Year’s Party in person. Therefore, we have devised a way to enjoy a portion of the party virtually through our Silent Auction. The Silent Auction will be held both virtually and separate in person. We hope many more people can enjoy our while helping support the OAA.

-----------------------------
Online Bidding will begin on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 12 pm PST and will end on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 8 pm PST.

All winners will be notified by email and pick up & shipping to be scheduled.

We will have a special In-person auction separate with a different set of auction items. In person auction winners may pick up their items at the party after payment.

About Okinawa Association of America, Inc. (OAA)

The Okinawa Association of America, Inc. (OAA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote Okinawan culture and to contribute to local and international cultural exchanges. It was formed by Okinawan immigrants 116 years ago and has since grown into a multigenerational organization that provides cultural, educational, and social programs for its members and the larger community. Although the OAA has changed its name, structure and mission to reflect the changing times, the basic goals of yuimaaru/yiimaaru (mutual aid) and retention of Okinawan identity have remained the same.

In 2023, the OAA was the recipient of a California Nonprofit of the Year Award (nominated by Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi, 66th District)!
