About Our Auction

The profits from this auction benefits the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc) and highlight the creativity of our wider community. you'll find one-of-a-kind items created or donated by illustrators, booksellers and sales reps.

The auction begins online, then continues on-site at the Discovery Show September 21 from 4:30 - 5:30 with traditional paper bidding. You or your designated proxy must be present to pay for and claim your items. Items must be picked up at the end of the auction.

The Binc Foundation provides financial assistance to brick and mortar bookstore employees working full-time or part-time who demonstrate a personal financial need arising from severe hardship and/or emergency circumstances. The Foundation typically assists with needs arising from these and other qualifying life-event categories:

Natural Disaster
Domestic Violence
Funeral Expenses
Homelessness Prevention
Loss of Household Income, due to:
Death in the household
Divorce or separation
Job loss of spouse or partner
Emergency child or elder care
Serious Medical Expenses
Utility Shut-off Prevention
Other Unforeseen/Unexpected Emergencies

Live Event Information

The NCIBA Silent Auction benefitting Binc will culminate at the Discovery Show on September 21 from 4:30-5:30 PM at the Hyatt Burlingame.
The winning bidders or a designated proxy must be present to pay for and take away the pieces they win.
No shipping will be provided.
