About People In Transition, My Sister's Place
For 35 years, People In Transition (Alliston) Inc., “My Sister’s Place” has been in operation as a women’s shelter. The organization was established as a non-profit, charitable entity in May of 1987 and has exclusively worked towards ending violence against women and their children in Simcoe County ever since. “My Sister’s Place” is a 12 bed shelter, offering emergency shelter and crisis counseling to women and their children who are seeking refuge from the violence in their lives. We are fundraising to continue to support the needs of the women and children while in shelter.
