Class of 2027 Senior Recognition Silent Auction
The National Charity League (NCL) Senior Recognition Event (often called "Senior Rec") is the formal, celebratory culmination of a mother-daughter six-year journey in NCL, taking place during the daughter’s high school senior year.
Beginning in the 7th grade, mother-daughter pairs ("Patronesses" and "Ticktockers") commit hundreds of hours to hands-on community service, leadership training, and cultural learning. Senior Recognition honors these young women for their years of dedicated volunteerism and personal growth before they graduate and head to college.
Highlights of the Senior Rec Tradition
- Honoring Community Impact: The evening highlights the collective thousands of volunteer hours the graduating class contributed to local charities and non-profit partners throughout middle and high school.
- Formal Presentation: Seniors are individually presented to family, friends, and chapter members, often wearing traditional white formal gowns—a long-standing NCL tradition symbolizing a fresh chapter and a bright future.
- Mother-Daughter Celebration: A central focus of the event is celebrating the unique bond built between mothers and daughters over six years of shared community service.
- Tributes & Reflections: The program typically includes slideshows, personal tributes, speech presentations, and formal dances (such as a father-daughter or parent dance) to mark this major milestone.
