About Our Auction

All money raised will support the Mesa Verde Foundation, helping to preserve and protect the ancient treasures of Mesa Verde National Park.
The Mesa Verde Foundation, established in 1997 and based in Denver, Colorado, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit partner to Mesa Verde National Park. Because the federal government cannot and does not completely fund our national parks, financial assistance is needed to maintain and improve parks for present and future generations. The Foundation raises money through special events, multi-tiered annual giving program and grants to support capital improvements, special projects and educational endeavors that promote an understanding of the park’s cultural and natural resources.

About Mesa Verde Foundation

Mesa Verde Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit, philanthropic partner to Mesa Verde National Park. Mesa Verde National Park is one of the 12 original UNESCO World Heritage Sites and is home to thousands of ancient artifacts and remnants of Ancestral Puebloans.

We work to secure funding for capital improvements, special projects and educational endeavors that promote an understanding of Mesa Verde National Park’s cultural and natural resources.

OUR MISSION
Mesa Verde Foundation’s mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of Mesa Verde National Park and to develop financial and other resources to support the park in its mission of protecting its cultural, natural, aesthetic, and wilderness values.

OUR GOALS
Beyond the preservation and protection of Mesa Verde National Park, we aim to help fund projects and programs that will enhance the natural and cultural landscapes of the park.

Our goals are:

--to champion educational programs for visitors and members of associated tribes
--to preserve the delicate remains of cliff dwellings and archaeological sites.
--to improve the ways in which visitors interact with the park and the experiences they receive as a result
--to protect and preserve the extraordinary collection of Ancestral Puebloan and other artifacts
