About this Auction
Mark Raphael Baker (1959-2023), renowned historian, teacher, and writer, is celebrated for his lifelong commitment to bearing witness and exploring humanity.
The purpose of this silent auction is to raise funds to support the Jewish Museum of Australia through the sale of these generously donated photographs. It allows the audience the unique opportunity to acquire Baker's work.
These photographic works span countries, cultures and decades, offering intimate glimpses into everyday life, emotions and relationships. The Things You Cannot See Exhibition explores both the seen and unseen and invites a deeper understanding of the shared human experience.
Please note:
- The singular prints are unique to this very special exhibition and silent auction. They will not be reprinted again at this size.
- All print sizes vary slightly, the measurements given are that of the works framed.
- While the works have been framed for the exhibition, for best archival practice, we would recommend looking into the necessary requirements for framing the work to ensure long term durability of the photograph.
- Copyright for these images remains with the Artist's Trust.
