Refugee Setup

The goal of this auction is to raise funds in order to provide a refugee family with basic needs upon their arrival. Funds will go towards a damage deposit for housing, temporary housing if needed, setup of any household items which were not donated, and immediate medical needs, etc...

The family is a single mom with four school aged children. The family will arrive shortly and will have been thoroughly vetted by the Government of Canada and determined by the UNHCR to be a family deserving of sponsorship.

The Long Table is a group of Vernon residents from varying backgrounds who are coming together to sponsor a refugee family and help them settle in Canada. The group is working with the East Hill Community Church, who will provide financial oversight. All money raised will go towards settling the family.
