Longhouse Art Auction

Our Longhouse and the longhouse practices are where we maintain our connection to who we are as a People. It is where we celebrate the most important milestone's in our lives. It is where we share songs and stories from generations past and where we can ensure our traditions continue.

This auction is made possible by the many Indigenous Master artists who have generously donated their work to support the rebuilding of the longhouse.

Our goal to rebuild the Skowkale Longhouse is $500,000.00. In 2017, we raised $100,000.00! We will be working hard to raise enough money in the next few months.

This auction will transition to a live silent auction this Saturday, May 5th at the Longhouse Gala at the Tzeachten Hall in Chilliwack, BC. Please consider attending. Tickets can be purchased at www.longhousegala.ca.

In March 2018, we broke ground! We are grateful for Tybo Construction, Giesbrecht and Co., Paul Rust Architect, Tselqweyeqw Tribes and SCS Consulting for their contribution, as well as so many people and organizations that have stepped forward to support us in this journey.

This online auction will transition to a live event - The Skowkale Longhouse Gala and Art Auction on Saturday May 5, 2018. The online auction will end at 3pm on May 5th. It will be at the Tzeachten Community Hall at 45855 Promontory Road, Chilliwack, BC.

Please consider attending the Longhouse Gala. There are tickets and sponsorship opportunities available at www.longhousegala.ca. Tickets are $200 each.

The Gala includes dinner, keynote speech by Grand Chief Steven Point, cultural performance, live performance of Comedian Don Burnstick, opportunities to purchase 50/50 and raffle tickets and, of course, the art auction!
