30th Anniversary Gala

The King Arts Complex hopes that you will take a few moments to read about our upcoming event and decide to participate by bidding for items in our silent and live auction.

On May 20, 2017 we will be hosting our 30th Annual Fundraising Gala and VIP reception. This year we are two organizations that have supported the King Arts Complex from the very beginning... Nationwide Insurance and L. Brands. The funds raised that evening will help subsidize the arts and education programming at the King Arts Complex. For the last two years, the live auction has been a crucial component during our VIP reception and has raised over $35,000 to support our youth programs. Please help us continue to make this event full of purpose, excitement and fun.

Please consider supporting our event by bidding on gift certificates, merchandise or services.

Your donation is tax deductible, we would be happy to provide our Tax ID number upon your request.

In order to donate items, please contact Lyn Logan-Grimes at llogan-grimes@kingartscomplex.com .

Thank you in advance for considering our request and for supporting The King Arts Complex.

About The King Arts Complex

Through a multidisciplinary approach, The King Arts Complex offers performing, cultural and educational programs that provide high artistic merit, varied and diverse experiences, and which increase and disseminate knowledge regarding the vast and significant contributions of African-Americans to the culture and history of America and the world.

Opened in March, 1987, after a $2.7 million renovation of the Pythian Theater, The King Arts Complex is located on the near East side of Columbus, Ohio, in one of the oldest areas of African-American life in the city. With an additional $1.8 million renovation, Phase II opened in October 1989 creating a 60,000 square foot facility. Serving as a major anchor for development in the King-Lincoln District, The King Arts Complex is an oasis for cultural and educational activities as well.
