About Our Auction
In early January, devastating wildfires swept through Los Angeles, destroying thousands of homes and decimating schools, libraries, and entire communities. More than 180,000 people were forced to evacuate, leaving behind personal belongings and irreplaceable memories. Many now have no homes to return to. At least 27 lives were lost, and countless animals perished in the disaster. From Altadena, Pasadena, and surrounding communities in the San Gabriel Valley, to the Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and the Hollywood Hills, the blazes were the most destructive in Los Angeles’s history. The impact of these fires is profound, reshaping the landscape of LA and leaving many in urgent need of support.

This is a charity auction and bids are considered legally binding. Please do NOT ask for your bids to be removed.
This auction aims to raise funds for wildfire relief efforts. All proceeds will be donated to:

Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation: www.supportlafd.org/
Animal Wellness Foundation Fire Relief Fund: www.animalwellnessfoundation.org/
Winning bidders will donate directly to one of the organizations listed above, uploading screenshots of receipts as proof of donation. The Kidlit For Los Angeles team will review and connect winners with the donors of their items (within 30 days).
Winners must show proof of donation by February 9th at 9am PST. Items will go to the next highest bidder if receipts/proof of donations are not provided by this time.

About Kidlit for Los Angeles
We are a group of kidlit creators who have been heartbroken by the apocalyptic scenes in Los Angeles. Some of us are proud Angelenos, with friends and family members who have suffered crushing losses. We are looking to help raise desperately-needed funds for wildfire relief efforts in the many communities that have been impacted.
