Helium Cares: Charity Auction

In light of COVID-19, Helium is raising money to help support the local communities in our city of San Francisco and around the country. We are donating and auctioning 3 Helium Hotspots ready to ship now. All proceeds from this auction will go towards Global Giving, City Harvest, and UCSF COVID-19 Response Fund.

"Helium has been on a mission to create an open network to connect IoT devices. We've recently made great headway, not because we worked harder, but because we created an incentive that enabled the people, individuals in communities around the US as well as the world to participate and build this new network together. We called this The People's Network.

In recent times, the people (all of us) have been hit with a new global pandemic, COVID-19. As individuals and communities have supported Helium and The People's Network, now is the time for Helium to give back to the people. In that vein, we are committed to supporting individuals and communities the best way we can. Launching this auction is for all those in need during this global crisis. Join us as we try our best to help one another." - Amir

In addition to supporting a great cause, each Hotspot will be signed by our CEO, Amir Haleem, making them one-of-a-kind.

These Hotspots are RARE. They are from our initial SOLD OUT batch of Hotspots that we set aside for a rainy day. This means you will receive them NOW, and before our May 2020 Shipments.

About Helium

Helium was co-founded by Shawn Fanning of Napster, Amir Haleem, and Sean Carey in 2013 with a mission to make easier to build connected Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Together they created The People’s Network, the world’s first peer-to-peer wireless network.

The backbone of The People’s Network is the Helium Hotspot, a new wireless device that provides connectivity 200 times farther than Wi-Fi and transmits IoT data at a fraction of the cost than cellular. Hotspots also act as miners on the Helium Blockchain, incentivizing anyone to deploy a Hotspot and earn a new cryptocurrency, Helium (HNT), for building the network and transferring IoT device data.

With the network now live in 745+ cities since nationwide launch in October 2019, enterprises and consumers now have a new way to connect millions of IoT devices, from remote wildfire or agricultural sensors to smart pet collars, scooters, and bikes being tracked across any city.

Helium is backed by GV (formerly Google Ventures), Khosla Ventures, Union Square Ventures, Multicoin Capital, FirstMark, Marc Benioff, Shawn Fanning and other top VCs. More information can be found at helium.com.
