Hamilton - Hurricane Relief Fundraiser

The Massachusetts Bar Association, together with the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys, is holding a fundraiser to help the Puerto Rican victims of the last fall’s hurricanes.

Hamilton’s creator and original star, Lin-Manuel Miranda, has arranged for 100 orchestra tickets to be available to us for the Friday, Oct. 12 performance of the smash hit musical at the Boston Opera House. We are honored to offer them to you at the price of $1,500 per ticket.

Our event’s goal is to raise $150,000 to donate to nonprofit organizations providing legal aid assistance to hurricane victims both in Puerto Rico and in Massachusetts. All net proceeds from your ticket purchase will be used to help us reach this goal.

So, not only will you receive amazing seats to the show, you will also be making a significant contribution to help victims of Hurricane Maria who are still struggling to rebuild.

The program for this special event includes a pre-show cocktail reception with a personalized video welcome to our group from Lin Manuel himself. His father, Luis Miranda, will talk to our group and engage in a Q&A session during the pre-show private function. Lin-Manuel has authorized the playing of a special video recording of a duet he did with the star of “Dear Evan Hansen.”

Join us for what will be an excellent event for a great cause and a night that will long be remembered by all.

About Massachusetts Bar Foundation

Founded in 1964, the Massachusetts Bar Foundation (MBF) is the philanthropic partner of the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA). Each year, the MBF provides grants that support desperately needed legal aid programs for the poor, foster ideas than can improve the administration of justice in our state, promote careers in public interest law, and introduce young people to the infinite possibilities of our legal system.

MBF funded programs help make justice a reality for vulnerable, marginalized individuals and families who are struggling with legal issues related to domestic violence, immigration, housing, access to special education services for children, health care, discrimination, and poverty.
