Home is Where the Heart Is 2021

Home is where the heart is…and the office, and the school, and the daycare. As we’ve sheltered in place this past year, it’s shined a spotlight on the importance of a safe and comfortable place to call home.

Funds raised from this event will help us build homes in Fischer Village, our 12-home development in Springfield, and to provide external repairs and accessibility modifications for low-income homeowners throughout our service area.

Habitat for Humanity of Central Lane is a nonprofit housing organization serving the Eugene/Springfield metro area, as well as Creswell, Cottage Grove and surrounding communities in Lane County, OR. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Habitat works toward our vision by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.

Our Home Repair program works with low-income homeowners, with preference given to veterans, elderly and/or disabled homeowners, in need of minor exterior home repairs and accessibility modifications. By bringing these homes back to a decent, livable standard, families are able to stay at home in a comfortable, safe, familiar environment.
