About Our Auction
This is the online auction for the 2019 Govfest Wine + Art Soirée. The live auction event was held on Friday, October 25th at the Textile Museum of Canada. Over 40 artworks are presented this year.
This online auction is now open and closes at the end of Govfest - Grand Finale Showcase on Friday, November 29th. NOTE: If an auction item has a "SOLD" banner, it means the artwork has already been purchased at the live auction event which took place at the official Govfest launch on Friday, October 25th, and is no longer available.
ABOUT THE EVENT:
The Govfest Wine and Art Soirée is the visual arts component of Govfest. Guests mingle with artists and allow wine connoisseurs to guide people through delicious pairings while taking in the fine art on display. Our Passport to Wine and Art Soiree includes the best wines; the work of over 23 artists; special guests and celebrity speakers.
About 2019 Govfest Wine + Art Soirée
Govfest is an annual music and cultural show organized by public servants to celebrate music, arts, and to support community-based projects around the world. Govfest brings together hundreds of artists, musicians and volunteers to put on the many events that make up our festival. Our shows feature some of the excellent talent from within the public service staff community and well beyond. Musical acts range in styles from funk and reggae to klezmer and classic rock. Some performers are just hitting the stage for the first time while others have recording contract experience. The same diversity of styles exists amongst our contributing visual artists; landscapes, portraits, sculptures and more.
