About Our Auction

The purpose of the live-stream silent auction is to raise money in support of our programming and our vision of creating a holistically focused residential center for young adults experiencing significant mental health challenges.

We are planning for the Center to provide support to over 250 young adults each year. The Center would include the following types of support and activities: individual and group therapy; coping strategies for difficult and broken relationships; peer-to peer groups; support for families, and an extensive array of holistic activities focused on teaching healthy behaviors and promoting wellness, including meditation, yoga, healthy cooking, art, journaling and music. We will continue to support our residents after they leave the Center.

With the University of Michigan Depression Center as our partner, we plan for our programming and the Center to be models that can be replicated nationwide.

About Garrett's Space

Garrett's Space is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was founded by Julie and Scott Halpert after they lost their precious son, Garrett, to suicide at the age of 23. Garrett's Space is dedicated to creating additional support options for young adults struggling with significant mental health challenges through programming and the establishment of a holistically focused residential center that will be a haven for struggling young adults by providing critical connections and support and helping to instill hope in young adults in danger of losing hope.
