Gnome Invasion- Bid Big and Go Gnome!

Put your bid in today to own part of our Gnome Invasion Exhibit. Each Gnome that is on display is also for sale! For the sixth year in a row Airlie Gardens, in Wilmington, N.C., is excited to host their summer art exhibit, July 7th-October 28th 2018 (please note that due to Hurricane Florence, the exhibit has been extended to December 31st!)! Airlie Gardens has selected artists or teams of artists to decorate, paint, and otherwise adorn one of the 15 oversized 5-foot-tall fiberglass Garden Gnome models. These Garden Gnomes will be placed throughout the grounds for guests to enjoy as part of their garden experience. The hope for this outdoor exhibit is it will be a collection that appeals to all. The artist’s design has been selected based on creativity, craftsmanship, use of materials, the ability to appeal to all age groups, outdoor sustainability and durability.

Airlie Gardens is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is: to ensure and help preserve Airlie Gardens as an outstanding, historic public garden with cultural and environmental programs developed to serve New Hanover County residents and other visitors.

Celebrating 11 years of art exhibits, this year’s exhibit, Turtley Awesome!, will feature ten oversized fiberglass turtles! Each turtle is uniquely decorated, painted, or otherwise adorned by a select group of artists and placed on display throughout the grounds for guests to enjoy as part of their garden experience. Turtley Awesome! will be on display July 14th through December 31st 2023!

Make one of these turtles your own by bidding today! Once the auction ends, winning bidders will be sent invoices and payment options. Payment must be received before a turtle can be picked up.
