Global Fest 2019
Join us for an evening of fun, food, and music benefiting Global Maritime Ministries. It's a fun way to help a great cause! Global Fest is Friday, October 11. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door or online at PortMinistry.com
View and bid on our auction items online before the event begins! Bidding will continue at our live event.
Pre-event bidding is simple and easy!
Anyone may browse the auction items, but you must create a login to add items to your watchlist or to place bids online. Select Create an account from any auction item page to get started. Once you have logged in, you may click the heart on any auction item to add it to your watchlist.
From an auction item page, you may choose to place an Exact Bid or a Proxy Bid.
An Exact Bid is a one-time bid placed on an auction item.
A Proxy Bid allows you to enter the maximum amount you are willing to spend and then let the system bid for you up to that amount. * This is recommended for convenient bidding! *
Click the heart from the toolbar to view your watchlist.
Click the star from the tool bar to view your bids.
If an auction item receives a pre-event bid during the final 3 minutes of the online auction, Extended Bidding automatically extends the end time of an item by 3 minutes. When an auction is extended, you will see Extended Bidding messages displayed throughout the auction with a link for easily viewing all of the extended items.
This online auction is for pre-event bidding of the items that will be available for bidding at Global Fest. At the conclusion of the online auction, the items will transition to the live event for bidding at Global Fest!
Leading bidders will be notified by email when the online auction ends to inform them that bidding will continue at the live event. Online auction participants have the option of entering Proxy Bids for the live event. Proxy Bids must be entered before the online auction closes.
About Global Maritime Ministries
Global Maritime Ministries has been meeting the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of seafarers and maritime workers along the Lower Mississippi River for over 50 years. Thousands of ships enter the Mississippi River each year with crews of international seafarers who are far from home. These ships include cargo ships, container ships, and passenger cruise ships. Many of the ships visiting our port stay for only a short time. Since time is limited, it is difficult for the crew to access the internet, make phone calls, send and receive mail, or take care of any personal needs. With two ministry centers, we can easily provide free transportation to and from ships at the Port of New Orleans and the Port of South Louisiana and help them meet their immediate needs. God has given us a unique opportunity to reach the world at our doorstep with the Gospel. As we meet needs and build relationships, many times we are able to share the Gospel message. We have Bibles and Scriptures in over 75 languages to be able to give each seafarer a copy God’s Word in his or her own language.
