GBCSC Art for Hope Online

Funds raised from Art for Hope Online will help support important services and programs provided by the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre (GBCSC) including individual counselling and support services, group support and therapy programs, financial assistance for treatment-related travel and accommodation expenses, exercise and wellness programs; wig program, social programs, and nutritional support. The GBCSC receives no government funding and relies on donations, sponsor support, foundation funding, and proceeds from fundraising events.

The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre is the first rural cancer support Centre in Ontario (North Simcoe County, Southern Georgian Bay) providing emotional, physical, social, spiritual and educational support for people affected by cancer. The Centre strives to be recognized as a source of support, education and motivation for people living with cancer. their families, and caregivers. Our vision is to be recognized a place of hope, comfort, strength and courage. Our members (cancer patients, family members/caregivers) benefit from programs as it decreases stress, increases energy, and reduces loneliness and isolation. As a non-for-profit, the GBCSC receives no annual government funding and is supported primarily by individual donors, sponsors, private foundations, and various fundraising efforts throughout the year.
