Gateway Theatre Ruby Reflections 40th Anniversary

Over the past 40 years Gateway has seen thousands of live performances on our stage, as well as generations of young people passing through our Academy to gain an education in performing arts and a sense of confidence in themselves. Our goal is to ensure that theatre arts continue to thrive and be a voice for our community.

Gateway Theatre strives to be a stage where we can learn from each other, see ourselves represented, and take pride in our rich cultural landscape. The Young Artists Development Program will allow us to support local emerging young artists including actors, directors, and choreographers, through hands-on experience and mentorship, as well as supporting scholarships to our Academy.

Incorporated in 1982, and celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year, Gateway Theatre Society serves the community of Richmond and beyond, through professional Artistic Offerings; youth education; venue rentals; and family oriented events and activities. Gateway Theatre is a premier venue for professional theatre, offering a dynamic platform for storytelling, artistic expression, and cultural enrichment. We manage an iconic facility that includes a 540-seat MainStage, two studios, rehearsal spaces, and more.
