About Our Auction

We're all feeling overwhelmed at the fires the have devastated vast swathes of Australia and displaced whole communities, from our precious coasts and farmland to our irreplaceable alpine high country. We can't replace what's gone, but we can support those on the front lines who are working so hard to recover and heal what's left.

We asked our wonderful clients and collectors to step up and use their passion for the cause. Clients from around the world have donated a special piece - perhaps a gift that didn't quite hit the mark, perhaps a once loved work that's been sitting at the back of a drawer - so it can find a new, loving home.

All proceeds go to the CFA Volunteer Welfare Fund and the Zoos Victoria Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund.*

The VFBV Welfare Fund offers small grants to CFA volunteers, long serving former volunteers and their families, who are experiencing significant financial hardship. These are men and women who give up their time, holidays and often their income to protect rural communities, often at enormous cost to themselves and their families.

The Welfare Fund is run under Australian Tax Office rules, independently audited, uses only State Government approved investments, and the welfare grant and investment decisions are made by a committee of long serving CFA volunteers.

Zoos Victoria is taking a emergency responsive role, entering bushfire affected areas when safe to do so (there are many areas not yet safe) and providing veterinary care and scientific intervention (such as supplementary feeding for the animals who have survived, but whose habitats have been destroyed by the bushfires). This work is ongoing and will be needed for many months, even years. As a not-for-profit organisation, all money raised for Zoos Victoria will be used in consultation with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning to ensure it is most effectively assisting injured wildlife and their habitat.

This is a very rare chance to access contemporary jewellery on the secondary market. Given that most of these works are pre-loved, there may be signs of wear. All works are auctioned as is, so please look at the photos carefully. All sales are final - no returns or exchanges. If you're in Melbourne, you can see the pieces in person from 2-7 March in the gallery.

Bid with gusto, and good luck!

* The administration costs of running this auction site - $141.00 - will be deducted.
