The auction for Escuela Caracol, Guatemala's non-profit Waldorf school, ENDS SATURDAY, September 2, 2017, 9 pm CST ! We extended bidding one day. Some prices have lowered on remaining bids. Spread the word.

For those of you unfamiliar, Escuela Caracol teaches Mayan language Kaqchikel & includes Mayan ceremony in its curriculum. Indigenous right to culture & representation are core aspects of Escuela Caracol. With 80 % of students indigenous Guatemalans who attend on funded support, we are proud all students receive food daily. This auction is a unique approach to fund our meal program, supported by artists, artisans, & businesses worldwide.

Our goal of $5000 covers food costs for all students & staff daily AND covers the salary of our chef - Teresa Sancoy Sacach - the rest of 2017! Be part of our community & bid!

About Escuela Caracol

Escuela Caracol is Guatemala's oldest + only non-profit Waldorf school. Located on a mountain path in San Marcos la Laguna, near the shores of Lake Atitlán, it celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year. Part of Caracol's mission is to fund tuition for all indigenous Guatemalan students, 72 of 90 or 80% of students this year. Join us in celebrating our 10th birthday by shopping this online store.
