Our Annual Fundraising Event
At Emporia Main Street, we believe that a strong and prosperous community is built from within. Our focus is on strengthening downtown—a place where people, capital, and ideas come together to generate opportunity for all. Through our efforts, we aim to cultivate a dynamic gathering space for shopping, dining, entertainment, and living, while also extending our support to businesses and economic development initiatives that benefit the entire region.
The Annual Public Improvement Auction plays a critical role in sustaining these initiatives. Funds raised during the event directly contribute to business support programs, organizational sustainability, and community design projects that make Emporia a more inviting and engaging place. About Emporia Main Street
Emporia Main Street, Inc. is a non-profit 501c(6) organization. We are part of the National Main Street Program, which is designed to bring economic revitalization to communities with an emphasis on restoration and preservation of core downtown business districts. We work hard to make Emporia a great place to live and do business. We work with entrepreneurs to launch businesses, help existing businesses grow and create jobs, host or support over 35 community events each year, reinvest in downtown Emporia, promote our members and shopping locally, provide low-interest business loans, work to beautify and preserve Emporia's downtown historic district, and much more.
