The "WHY" of the fundraiser:

"Slam Dunk " Against Hunger Madness

Older Iowans are experiencing increasing levels of food insecurity due to inflation and the rising cost of living. Many depend on Elderbridge’s home-delivered meals, congregate meals, and emergency meal programs as their primary source of daily nutrition.
Demand for these services continues to grow; however, state and federal funding has not kept pace with the need for nutritional assistance among older adults. As a result, Elderbridge faces challenges in meeting demand and minimizing waiting lists.
Funding support for Elderbridge’s congregate and home-delivered meal programs will help expand capacity, reduce waiting lists, and ensure older Iowans have consistent access to nutritious meals that support health, independence, and well-being.

Instructions for Bidders:
Getting started is easy! Create a login using your email address and a password. Once you verify your email, you’re all set to bid. Scroll through the items, find your favorites, and start bidding! You can also click the heart icon to save items you like and easily find them later.

After you place a bid, you’ll receive email updates, so you don’t miss out if someone outbids you. You can bid anytime from your phone or computer—just open the link above in any web browser. There’s no app to download.
Everything is done online, including payment. You can check out securely using PayPal.  Other payment options are you are able to pay with cash or check in person when you pick up from the office nearest you. 
Want to make bidding even easier? Use the “proxy bid” option. Just enter the maximum amount you’re willing to pay, and the system will automatically bid for you (up to that amount), while only showing the minimum bid to other bidders.
If you want it even shorter or a little punchier, just say the word!
