Ecology Learning Center - Silent Auction

Help us secure a home for our school! Through a collaboration with the Unity Foundation, we are purchasing an incredible 6000 square foot building in downtown Unity. The building offers students immediate access to “the world as their classroom.” 230 Main Street is within walking distance of parks, trails, streams, Lake Winnecook (the largest lake in Waldo County), community center, retail businesses, food pantry, and the historical society for real-world learning opportunities.

This silent auction fundraiser will help us purchase the building and make necessary infrastructure upgrades before school starts in September. The auction features items donated by board members, community businesses, local artists, prospective families, and even students!

We are thrilled to open our doors as a public charter high school in Unity, Maine on September 1, 2020 to ~48 freshmen and sophomores.

The mission of the Ecology Learning Center is to deeply root students in Maine's ecological & cultural landscapes, foster authentic real-world learning through mentorship & craft, and cultivate compassionate and resilient leaders prepared to engage in the challenges of today & tomorrow.
