Winter Escape: Throwback to the 70's

Each March DCH hosts a fun "Winter Escape" fundraising party. This year's theme - "Throwback to the 70's" - honors the 50th anniversary of the beloved DCH Preschool (opened in 1970). The silent auction is a fun and important piece of the event. We hope you will all join us at DCH on Friday, March 6th at 7pm, and invite you to participate in the auction online regardless of whether you can join us in person. The auction features a Vermont getaway, King's bowling party for 20, sports tickets, wine, golf outing, a pool membership, gorgeous hand-blown acorn, and more! The Dedham Community Association, better known as the Dedham Community House or DCH, is a 98-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting educational, recreational, and civic interests to enhance the lives of all residents of Dedham and neighboring towns through innovative programs, community leadership, and the preservation of its historic campus. In fulfillment of this mission, DCH operates a highly regarded preschool, a popular summer camp, a summer pool, a variety of enriching classes for all ages, and several seasonal events.

DCH serves people of all income levels from all neighborhoods of Dedham and more than 20 surrounding communities. Each year, DCH awards local families and organizations more than $150,000 in financial aid and donated facilities space.

DCH was founded in 1922 when a group of civic-minded citizens purchased an estate at the corner of Ames and High Streets in Dedham and formed a charitable, nonprofit association to preserve the historic mansion and to provide a recreational center for the people of Dedham and the vicinity. Today, the Board of Directors and staff are proud to continue the tradition of service to all members of our community.

Bidding will continue at our event Winter Escape: Throwback to the 70's on Friday, March 6, 2020. The event runs from 7pm - 10:30pm with bidding closing at 9:30pm. Tickets can be purchased on the Dedham Community House website and are $50 per person until noon on Friday. After that time, tickets can be purchased at the door for $60 per person.
