6th Annual Put Your Best Shoe Forward

Welcome to Desert Best Friend’s Closet’s Put Your Best Shoe Forward online silent auction! Our 6th annual fashion show and luncheon had to be canceled due to the Governor’s orders to shelter-in-place, but that doesn’t mean YOU can’t shop to support our programs.

Who do we help?

Interview Attire Program—provides professional image consultation and appropriate interview attire to low-income job-seekers, homeless and US Veterans

Youth Attire Program-- provides professional image consultation and appropriate interview attire to Coachella Valley high school students in need of professional attire for school activities, internships and job interviews

Bridge to Employment—teaches job search readiness training to people with disabilities and the formerly incarcerated; we also assist with job placement services;

Military Ball Gown & Prom Dress Giveaways—provides gowns at no cost to active duty Marines and military spouses as well as Coachella Valley high school girls

Funds raised, will help outfit our clients, or will pay for a client to attend our 4-week job search readiness workshop training.
