Cooking for CASA

Cooking for CASA is Children in Placement's premier fundraising event. Funding allows us to specially train and provide Special Advocates for abused and neglected children throughout Connecticut.

Children in Placement (CIP) is Connecticut's state affiliate of the National Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Association. CIP is authorized to recruit, specially train, and supervise volunteers to serve foster children and abused/neglected children in their own local communities, as a child's CASA/GAL (Guardian ad Litem) in child protection cases at both Juvenile Superior Court and Children's Probate Court. CIP provides a vehicle for our most vulnerable children and youth to have a strong advocate on their behalf, in what can otherwise be a traumatic and wearisome court process. Our CASA/GAL volunteers serve abused and neglected children from all over Connecticut, representing their best interests, and recommeding court-ordered solutions that address their entire well-being: physical, mental, emotional, and educational. CASA/GALs are proven to expedite foster children's transition into a safe, permanent home.

Cooking for CASA's live auction will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 6:00-9:00pm at Amarante's Sea Cliff, 62 Cove Street, New Haven, CT.
