Conroe Art League's 2019 "12X12" Gala Auction

The purpose of the 12X12 Gala auction is to raise monies to support Conroe Art League's Student Show on Saturday, May 4, 2019 for selected Montgomery County high school seniors.

The 12X12 Gala auction is a three-step process:
1. Online auction begins January 14, 2019 and closes on February 20, 2019. The opening bid on any artwork is $30.00, and the bid increment is $5.00. All artworks, except the Select 12, have a "buy now" feature of $200. (Online bidding is allowed on the Select 12, and bidding will culminate at a live auction [see item 3 for details]);
2. Once the online bidding closes, a silent auction will continue at the 12X12 Gala on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 5 to 8 PM, at the Conroe Art League gallery at 127 Simonton Street, Conroe, TX. All artworks for which the "buy now" feature was not exercised and the Select 12 will participate in the silent bidding. A bid sheet will be placed with each 12X12 artwork in the gallery, and guests may bid on an artwork by entering a bid on the bid sheet.
3. The 12X12 Gala will culminate with a "live" auction of the Select 12. From all the 12X12 artworks created by Conroe Art League artists for the Gala, an independent judge selected 12 of the most outstanding artworks as the Select 12. Auctioneer Lyn Howard will conduct the live auction.

The last bid, whether online, silent, or live auction, on a 12X12 artwork is considered final, and payment is required at the reception. Payment may be made by credit card, check, or cash, and cash payment is only in the exact amount of the winning bid: no change will be made and no coins excepted.

Whether you are the high bidder or not for any artwork, or even if you choose not to bid, the online bidding process allows for a "Donation", and you may show your appreciation for the artworks, the Conroe Art League, and provide financial support for the Student Show on May 4, 2019, by making an online donation.

The fundraising goal of the 12X12 Gala is $10,000.

Conroe Art League (CAL) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization of vibrant artists and art lovers. The art league began in 1963 with seven local artists and has grown to over 300 members. Art education is a top priority for CAL and classes are offered in a variety of mediums. We offer monthly shows featuring the work of our members. In addition to the shows, the League holds competitions throughout the year. CAL is active in the community, participating in numerous outreach programs.

The Conroe Art League's 12X12 Gala will move from an online auction to a live auction on February 23, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM at the Conroe Art League gallery located at 127 Simonton St., Conroe, TX, 77301. (Telephone number: 936.756.9572) There will be silent bidding at the gallery until 7:30 PM when an auctioneer kicks off a live auction on the Select 12, those works of art determined by an independent judge to be the most outstanding works of 12X12 art created by participating Conroe Art League artists.
