ABOUT EMMETT
We're raising funds to help support the rehab and recovery of our friend Emmett Lyman. Emmett sustained a traumatic brain injury and a severe spinal cord injury while attempting the first ascent of an unclimbed peak in Alaska earlier this year. Emmett is paralyzed below the neck with some use of his arms and wrists and is working hard to regain and maximize mobility. While he has great health and rescue insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses for ongoing rehab and daily living with high spinal cord mobility impairment are extremely high.

Emmett is the best (friend, climbing partner, adventure buddy). He is a longtime member of the Boston outdoor community and volunteers countless hours to help others get their start in rock & ice climbing. As recipients of his kindness and help for years, many of his friends are organizing this fundraiser to begin trying to pay him back for his years of generosity.

ABOUT THE AUCTION
You DO NOT have to attend the live event to get your gear, (although we'd prefer it if you did). Online bids will be accepted until 7pm Nov 8th at which time bidding will transition to the live event happening at the Arc'teryx Store in Boston. Attendees will have the opportunity to place the final bids in person at the event.

Winning bidders who are present at the event can pay in person with a credit card. We will contact winning online bidders on Nov 9th to collect payment and shipping info. Payments at the event will be collected with Stripe. Online payments will be collected via PayPal.

All funds raised will go directly to Emmett to help cover medical expenses.
