As a family-owned music school dedicated to nurturing creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of music, we’re excited to host our 1st Annual Silent Auction filled with an amazing selection of prizes, gift options, discounted class passes for families. We are featuring local artists, businesses, Canadian music and friends!

Every dollar raised goes directly to our School Fund — allowing us to offer discounts for classes to the community, helping us purchase new instruments, provide advanced training for our dedicated teachers, and expand access through discounted tuition and enriched programming.

About Colourstrings Conservatory of Music

We are a family owned and run music school, Colourstrings Conservatory of Music, we're dedicated to providing innovative and child-centered music education in Vancouver, Canada. Founded by Laura Hasthorpe, an accomplished musician with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Certificate of Postgraduate Studies in performance from the Royal Academy of Music & Drama in Glasgow, Scotland, we've been a trusted institution for over two decades.

Your bid or a small donation of $15 will secure a FREE class for a child and family that are not able to access lessons - together we can make a difference.

"Colourstrings provides a innovative Kodaly-inspired music curriculum guiding children seamlessly from playful exploration to music literacy and onto instrumental lessons. Age-specific classes integrate multi-sensory experiences such as singing, instrument play, creative movement, and listening games. Then we progress into Instrumental, Choir and advanced string groups.
