About Chinese Community Center
Founded in 1973, the Chinese Community Center (CCC) is reaching its 50th year. Starting with a small group of working professionals, the population has grown into the 2nd largest ethnic community in the Capital District of New York.
The CCC is a resource center for members of the Chinese American community and for those who are interested in Chinese culture and language. The CCC is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and serves members living across the capital region. The Chinese School, as part of the CCC, has an enrollment of over 300 students.
The CCC’s missions are:
1). To foster and encourage the study of the Chinese and English languages, history and culture; 2). To foster, encourage and promote the moral and intellectual improvement of men and women; 3). To provide and maintain a center for art, literacy and cultural contact; and 4). To acquaint citizens and non-citizens alike with the duties and responsibilities of good citizenship.
