Utah Foster Care Chalk Art Festival

Three works of art were created by featured artists at this year's Chalk Art Festival.

By bidding on this artwork, you are doing your part to help children in Utah who have been traumatized by neglect and abuse and placed into foster care. The funds raised will be used to support special programs at Utah Foster Care, like the Wishing Well Fund. Through the generous support of private donors, this fund helps pay for experiences begin to “normalize” childhood for children in foster care—things like sports fees, music and dance lessons, class rings, or yearbooks.

“Violin lessons have been a true blessing for my daughter,” one foster parent says. “I believe they have influenced her life in so many ways, like improving her self-esteem and giving her a feeling that she can experience the same successes as other kids.”

Utah Foster Care (UFC) is a nationally recognized non-profit which finds, trains, and supports Utah families, who are willing and able to provide a nurturing home for children in foster care. In Utah, more than 2,800 children are in foster care at any given time because their own families are in crisis. Substance abuse is often a factor in cases where children are removed from their biological homes.
