Creston-Dement New Building Fund

This auction will be of items from local individuals and business in and around the Creston, Illinois area. The funds will go towards our goal of building a new library building. If you are curious about any items up for auction, you may come into the library and ask about them, and we can show you most items in person and answer any questions not previously stated in the item descriptions.

The Creston-Dement Public Library was formed in 1986 with books donated by the local community and was run by a small group of volunteers. The library has grown from servicing 60 patrons a month in 2009, to 750 patrons a month in 2019.

The library is currently renting space in a 140 year old building. While the older building is charming, we are running out of space to continue to serve the growing demands of being a community center for the people of Creston and the surrounding area of Dement Township.

We need your help to fund additional library space.
