The Buddy Fund 57th Annual Golf Classic & Auction

The Purpose of our auction is to help at-risk underserved youth by directly providing the youth organizations and schools with new sporting equipment and supplies. You can put a ball into the hands of a youth and make a Big Impact in their lives by bidding on auction items. Every dollar donated is doubled because of our long longstanding relationship for the last 58 years and our purchasing power to buy at cost or below.

Sports creates a positive impactful effect on the at-risk youth by getting them off the streets, off drugs, and living and learning about a healthy lifestyle. Learning how to work together in a constructive environment and having to make the grade in academics in order to be involved in sports activities and engaging them team work, life skills and building self-esteem. Our goal this year is $300,000.

Who We Are:
The Buddy Fund is a 501(c)(3) charity helping St. Louis area children without regard to race, ethnicity or religion. It was founded in 1962 by St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Hawks player/sportscaster Buddy Blattner to help redirect the lives of underserved and at-risk youth by supplying sports and recreation equipment to charities and organizations in our communities.

Our Mission:
We serve our local at-risk youth in partnership with dedicated schools, recreation, and youth organizations by providing new sports and recreation equipment to create opportunities for development of their physical and mental health, confidence and character, teamwork and respect for others, and academic expectations and personal responsibility.

Our Accomplishments:
Each year, we provide new sports equipment to youth organizations that have direct access to the at-risk underserved youth. Since 1962, cumulative efforts by The Buddy Fund have helped over 500,000 youngsters and provided more than $5,000,000 in sports and recreation equipment and supplies. Every dollar donated is nearly doubled because of our longstanding relationship with the equipment vendors which allows purchase of the equipment at a reduced price.

Everyone here at the Buddy Fund is very excited for our 57th Annual Golf Classic and Auction on 9.20.19 at Forest Park/Norman K. Probstein Golf Course and we hope you are too!

The online Silent Auction will start on Wednesday 9/18/19 at 10:00 am and end at 4:30 pm on Friday 9/20/19 and you do not need to be present to bid. Be sure to check out all the awesome auction items.
