Special Olympics Alberta BOW VALLEY Auction

Since 2018, we at Special Olympics Alberta Bow Valley have been having online auctions as a way to fundraise. We hope you will find this year's auction a fun way to support us. 

Special Olympics Alberta Bow Valley is almost completely self funded so we rely on fundraising events & donations to provide programming.

The proceeds from this auction go directly to our BOW VALLEY programs-Cross Country Skiing, 5 Pin Bowling, Athletics, Pickleball & our Fitness /Running Club. We will use the funds from this auction to continue to expand to as many of the Special Olympics Alberta sports as we can & to provide opportunities for our athletes to participate in local competitions. We believe sport should be accessible for all. We will also use the proceeds to provide our athletes and volunteers with uniforms; to fund our special events & athlete/volunteer recognition ceremonies: to cover operational costs; to provide volunteer & coach/training opportunities; & it’s our hope to be able to provide transportation to out of town competitions so our families without access to a vehicle can also participate.

Special Olympics is committed to enriching the lives of individuals with intellectual disability through sport. The Bow Valley community program began in 2018 & at present we have 5 very successful and thriving programs: Cross Country Skiing , 5 Pin Bowling, Athletics, Pickleball & our Fitness/Running Club. Our hope is to expand our programming to offer as many of the 18 sports offered by Special Olympics Alberta as we can accommodate.
Special Olympics Canada is the ONLY organization in Canada to provide grassroots sport programs & competition opportunities, from the local level to the world level, for people with intellectual disabilities.
