Welcome to Bids of Hope
Welcome to Bids of Hope, an online silent auction raising funds to ensure grief support remains free and accessible for individuals navigating the loss of someone significant across Halton, Peel, and Toronto.
Hosted by the Centre for Grief and Healing (Bereaved Families of Ontario – Halton/Peel) in partnership with Bereaved Families of Ontario – Toronto, Bids of Hope brings our community together to support compassionate, peer-based grief care. All funds raised through this auction directly support free grief support groups, one-to-one peer support sessions, and volunteer training, so that no one has to navigate grief alone.
Our Goal: $10,000
Our goal for Bids of Hope is to raise $10,000 to support free, accessible grief peer support across Halton, Peel, and Toronto. Every dollar raised has a direct impact. For example:
- $35 helps fund one individual peer support session with a trained volunteer
- $125 covers the cost of one full grief support group session for up to 12 participants
- $468 helps train a new volunteer to provide safe, compassionate grief support
- $3,290 helps launch a new eight-week closed grief group for underserved communities
