About ICUF's Impact
Guided by the credit union philosophy of people helping people, the Iowa Credit Union Foundation works to champion financial well-being for all. Each year ICUF invests in grants and scholarships and collaborates with credit unions and community partners to provide needed financial resources. None of this is possible without donor support. All money raised by ICUF, directly supports ICUF’s work across the state.
Last year, ICUF supported credit unions and their members in these ways:
• Through the Warren Morrow Scholarship Program $23,000 was awarded to 12 Iowa credit union students in high school or post-secondary education.
• 36 Iowa credit union members received $19,500 in matched savings
• $10,00 was granted to 10 small Iowa Credit Unions toward investments in technology, education, DEI, and strategic planning services
• Through ICUF’s ‘People Helping People’ Financial Coaching Program, 50 employees representing 42 Iowa credit unions joined a network of 200 Financial Coaches.
- ICUF Announced a 3-year, $150,000 investment in a new Financial Inclusion Grant Program to address barriers to financial well-being for minority populations in Iowa
