BCHS Rare and Collectable Book Auction

We are clearing out research books from our library that do not pertain to our mission of preserving Bradford County history. This auction contains nearly 1,000 books divided into 100 lots including rare books, regional history, state history, world history, military history, fiction, children's books, government reports, bound newspapers, single newspapers, music books, and much more dating back almost 200 years. Proceeds will help us provide archival safe storage materials for our research library collection. 

Auction winners will be invoiced by email at the end of the auction. Payment is expected by April 18. Pickup for auction winners will be on April 16, 17, and 18 (Wednesday through Friday) during regular business hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If a winner cannot pickup during regular business hours, an appointment will need to be made with the historical society. PLEASE NOTE: All winning bidders must pay for and pickup their items within the hours noted above. All sales are final. Items not paid for and picked up by end of business day on April 18 will be forfeited by winner and awarded to the next highest bidder (unless other arrangements for pickup are made).

The mission of the Bradford County Historical Society is to record and preserve the history of Bradford County; to interpret the effect of regional, state, national and world events on the county; to make the record available to the general public; and to stimulate the interest of local people in the history of the county.
