Breaking the Bell Jar

On June 11th, 2019, Revival Art Collective co-owner, Jody Miller Johns, lost her brother, Ryan, to suicide after a lifetime battling the demons of depression, anxiety, & addiction. Ryan was drawn to all types of creative expression from a young age. He played multiple instruments, painted graffiti, wrote poetry, and worked as a chef by trade.

He leaves behind two young boys ages 6 & 9.

It is our hope that by raising awareness of the debilitating effects of mental illness and the stigma surrounding the diseases and treatment, people who suffer will have the courage to ask for & receive the help that they so desperately need and no loved one will ever feel that death is the only release from the pain they live with each day.

A percentage of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to The Campaign to Change Direction and the remaining funds will be deposited into a trust for the Miller boys.

Revival Art Collective is a cooperative enterprise focused on uniting artists and sharing art with the community. Located in the heart of the downtown Phoenix arts district, RAC is home to seven resident artists who tattoo full time in addition to their fine art mediums of choice. Nearing our 7th year in business, Revival Art Collective has hosted numerous gallery events featuring work by both local and national artists, musicians, & art students including several charity events.
