The Jumbo Troops: Lighting the Way for Elephants

             India is home to Asia’s largest wild elephant population—but their future is increasingly at risk. This year’s event will support The Jumbo Troops, a dedicated grassroots group working tirelessly to safeguard elephants and preserve their forests in West Bengal.

Their efforts include tracking herds with drones and camera traps, restoring habitat by clearing invasive species, vaccinating village cattle to stop disease transmission, promoting coexistence through education and conflict resolution, and offering nature-based after-school programs for local children.

The Jumbo Troops are making an incredible impact by:
