Nature Canada’s 2017 “Art for Nature” Auction

Nature can be exceptionally inspiring! From the budding trees and flowers to the roaring mountains and fascinating animals; artists are inspired by the textures, colors, and sounds of the natural world.

This month, Nature Canada is hosting their 3rd annual art auction called Art for Nature and asked Canadian artists to create extraordinary art pieces with nature as their muse. Each artist has used their own personal style and preferred method to create artwork infused with an aspect of nature they find inspiring.

This year is particularly special as we celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. Appreciation for nature as part of a bigger community shines as we come together for this Canadian anniversary. Consider purchasing a piece that will continue to inspire a love of art and nature for a loved one this holiday season.

From October 23rd to November 17th, you can help us protect nature by participating in our Art for Nature Auction and be the owner of one of these specially crafted, nature-inspired pieces generously donated by these talented Canadian artists. Funds raised by the auction will support our efforts to protect and conserve nature across Canada.

Nature Canada is one of the oldest national nature conservation charity in Canada. Over the past 80 years, Nature Canada has helped protect over 110 million acres of parks and wildlife areas in Canada and countless species that depend on this habitat. Today, Nature Canada represents a network comprised of over 100,000 members and supporters and more than 800 nature organizations across the country and with affiliates in every province.

We focus on effecting change on issues of national significance including citizen science initiatives, urban nature initiatives, building a national network of conservation organizations, building a network of volunteers to care for critical natural habitat sites across Canada and being a voice for nature at the federal level.
