About Advocates for Public Interest Law (APIL)

Pepperdine's Advocates for Public Interest Law (APIL) is a student organization dedicated to fostering service in the local community and to inspiring interest in the field of public interest law. In pursuit of this mission, APIL empowers students to engage in service opportunities, educates students about the field of public interest law, and provides funding for students to pursue summer positions with non-profit, public interest law firms and organizations. This funding makes it possible for students who would otherwise need to seek paid employment to experience working in the public interest field and to contribute to a community in need.
