A New Rwanda Documentary Film Fundraising

This auction will support continued expenses associated with making a documentary film in Rwanda. Costs include hiring the crew (cinematographer, location sound recorder, editor, sound designer/editor, photographer), airfare, accommodations, film permit, visa applications, driver, translator, and other assorted production costs. The team is travelling to Rwanda in March 2019 to continue filming this project.

We are filmmakers from Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada) traveling to Rwanda in March 2019 to continue shooting a documentary film about healing and hope in Rwanda. We are raising money to help with all the costs associated with the film.

In 1994, Rwanda faced the unthinkable - a mass genocide against the Tutsi. This is the story that people know. Much of the world still only knows Rwanda for the genocide, and though it's a very important part of their history, it is not the only story. In every hardship there is also another story.

There is the story of survival and resilience. There is the story of hope. This is the Rwanda I want to show you. Told through the eyes and hearts of the young generation.
