2020 AlgomaTrad Virtual Auction
Welcome to the AlgomaTrad Online Silent Auction. We are so happy to have you here! When everyone is working together, great things happen!
Although we are not at the camp on St. Joseph Island this year, Julie and Pat -- with the help of two wonderful summer students and other volunteers -- continue to put in long hours of hard work both at the site and in the office. This auction is an important fundraiser for supporting the progress of the AlgomaTrad Centre as well as the endowment of the Nicolas Missere Bursary Fund, so your bidding will have a real impact.
The auction is open to everyone, so please share this link with family and friends!
You have to register to bid, but it's free, easy, confidential, and there is no obligation. TO REGISTER: click on the "View All Items" button under the pavilion picture. A tempting array is available: Tunes written just for you! Lessons with stellar musicians and artists! Beautiful artwork! Mini-break destinations!
Once you have found something you like, there are two ways to bid:
· use the “exact bid” option to enter the amount you want to bid at that moment.
· use the "proxy bid" option to let the computer bid for you, up to the amount you specify. This is a great way to keep current with the bidding when you are busy elsewhere.
After you have placed a bid on an item, you will get notifications to help you track your bids, and to tell you if you have the top bid or if someone has (horrors!) outbid you.
At the end of the auction, the auction site will send an automatic email to the winning bidders, and AlgomaTrad will also be in touch with further information about your items.
For payment, we would appreciate that you pay by cheque or etransfer if possible. There are no fees for AlgomaTrad if you pay this way, allowing your funds to go straight to the camp! However, if this doesn’t work, you can pay through Paypal.
The auction goes live Monday, August 10th, at 10 p.m. and closes Friday, August 14th at 9:30pm.
We hope you enjoy the auction! You will see there is a truly amazing variety of auction items for you to bid on. Immense thanks to our generous donors, and thank you to all you great bidders! Your support is deeply appreciated, and you are making a difference!
Happy bidding and good luck!
