About Ag World Golf Classic

Generosity in a year of crisis. It was an incredible demonstration of care from the area agriculture industry and local businesses as Ag World Support Systems presented the 7th Annual Ag World Golf Classic check for $93,168 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Inland Norwest in Spokane, WA.

With COVID-19 restrictions and the passing of Ag World Support Systems and the Ag World Golf Classic’s Founder, Warren Henninger, it was uncertain if this charity tournament could be held this year. While the Kennewick tournament had to be cancelled due to COVID-19, the first ever Ag World Golf Classic tournament was held in Moses Lake at the Links at Moses Pointe. “We are so grateful for the show of support this year both for our Founder Warren Henninger and for the Ronald McDonald House Charities – both honoring Warren’s legacy and caring for those in need through giving to the House.”, said Melanie Henninger Finch of Ag World Support Systems. Through the generosity of 82 Sponsors/Donors and 133 golfers this year’s event was a huge success!

Ag World Golf Classic presented this $93,168 check to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Inland Northwest in November after finalizing all donations. The Ag World Golf Classic continues to be the largest independent fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald Charities in the Inland Northwest!

Ag World Golf Classic was born out of a vision to help families with children who have severe medical needs. Warren Henninger, Founder/Chairman of Ag World Support Systems, caught the vision to host a Columbia Basin event to support the Ronald McDonald House Inland Northwest in Spokane, Washington. Having a grandson born with many medical needs heightened his desire to help families in similar situations. After several years participating in golf tournaments in the province of Manitoba, Canada for the Ronald McDonald House Canada, Warren decided to host a similar event here in the Inland Northwest. This vision is called the Ag World Golf Classic.

Through the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and golfers, the Ag World Golf Classic has donated $518,815 over the past seven years to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest. The tournament is part of Ag World Support System’s campaign to make a difference in the community by supporting the Ronald McDonald House's mission to strengthen local families and promote children’s health. This year, Ag World Support Systems was again joined by co-hosts Simplot, Lamb Weston, McCain Foods, and Potato Growers of Washington to help make this event even greater than past events. The Ag World Golf Classic continues to be a fun event enjoyed by everyone.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities Inland Northwest provides temporary lodging, comfort and support for families with children receiving medical services in Spokane, Washington and supports related efforts to improve children’s health in the region. This year, RMHC is building a new facility just across the street from its current location to serve even more families.

Mike Forness, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House Inland Northwest in Spokane, Washington said, “We are able to support so many families because of the help of generous donors from the Ag World Golf Classic! On behalf of the families and children that stay at the Ronald McDonald House we say ‘Thank you Ag World’! We see your family values, work values and church values as major reasons this fundraiser is so successful.”

The excitement of the tournament’s success still lingers in the minds of those who worked tirelessly to see this event happen. We are grateful to our hosts, sponsors, donors, many golfers and supporters who made this event such a huge success. Ag World is honored to support this worthy cause! To God Be The Glory!
