Dancing to Broadway Auction

Raising support for local dancers to participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend workshops by Broadway professionals and dance in New York July 2025

Alexandria’s Dance Studio (ADS) has been in operation in Chatham-Kent for 25 years and has helped foster a sense of belonging, confidence and purpose to hundreds of children and youth all over CK. Each year the studio enrolls over a hundred youth, puts on a year-end recital, and has a competitive dance team that travels to various competitions throughout Southwestern Ontario.

In July, 17 dancers at ADS have been given the opportunity to attend New York to participate in several highly accredited workshops run by Broadway professionals, dance on a Broadway stage, and perform in Time Square. This opportunity will be a once in a lifetime chance for many of the youth that will provide them with additional skills to take with them in their dancing aspirations, build team spirit as they continue their dance team journey, and expand their future possibilities.

As you can imagine, this experience comes with a high cost that many of the youth are unable to afford. With a staggering average cost of $2000 per youth, a group of dedicated individuals are seeking community support to give these dancers a chance to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity.
