About Our Auction

14 rivers in 14 days, the final challenge.

It started with 14 and so it ends with 14.

Raising money for the army benevolent fund starting in 14th August 2017 1 angler Jerry Gleeson will aim to fish 14 rivers in 14 days to catch as many barbel as possible.

Using public transport from trains, taxis and buses I will travel the country from Stockport to London zig zagging across the country fishing the rivers Goyt, Dove, Derwent, Trent, Severn, Teme, Wavon, Kennett and Lea.

On the 9th river the river Lea I will meet up with challenge regulars Paul Floyd, Dave Chambers, Matt Marlow and Julian Barnes and guests Christophe Pelhate, Tony Christo and Steve Ward where we will then fish the river Lea the Kentish Stour then 4 rivers in Europe visiting France, Belgium and Holland.

We ask the angling community family and friends to get behind the lads and help them raise a fantastic amount of money for a wonderful charity that helps our service men and women past and present.

All money will be donated to the Army Benevolent Fund Charity Registration No. 1146420 & SCO39189

All winning bidders to pay via paypal madsum05@gmail.com

If you don't fancy bidding or don't win an auction lot you can still make a donation on my Just Giving page here https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jerry-gleeson4

Thank you!!

About ABF Charity Barbel Challenge

It is now in its final year and although we have a lot of fun doing these and have been extremely lucky to catch some good fish it is by no means easy, and lady luck does play a massive part.

In the past few years myself and the team of supporters have traveled over 4000 miles up and down the country, it is physically and mentally exhausting, we get by on minimal sleep upto 3hours in 24 if we're lucky sat in chairs by the river.

In it's final year we've partnered with our European barbel anglers to make it 14 rivers in 14 days in the UK and Europe.

For me its always been about the charity and catching the fish is just an added bonus.

If you can get behind us please do so, every little helps and will go a long way into helping our ex-servicemen and women.

Thank you,

Jerry Gleeson
