Abby's House Virtual 5K Run/Walk Online Auction
Since our founding 44 years ago, Abby’s House continues to be as vital today as the first day we opened our doors in 1976. This auction, which is part of our Virtual 5K Run/Walk fundraising event from Saturday, October 1 - Saturday, October 17, will help raise crucial funds for the women and children who rely on the safe shelter, affordable, supportive housing, and advocacy services we provide.
The overall event seeks to raise $45,000 from sponsorships, race registrations (www.abbyshouse.racewire.com), team fundraising, individual donations and auction proceeds.
We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone as the Coronavirus continues to spread and take a devastating toll on lives and communities, and the future remains uncertain. This is especially true for the women and children of Abby’s House. For women staying in shelter, with limited job prospects because many businesses have temporarily shut down, or for women in housing, with high unemployment rates, the fear of not being able to afford rent or basic needs, like food, continues to weigh heavily. We are doing all that we can to provide immediate support for these increased needs of every woman and child we serve and to meet new needs that are emerging, but we are only able to do this with support of people like you.
We sincerely thank you for participating and hope you enjoy your shopping experience!
