At the YMCA, no one is turned away due to the lack of financial resources. The YMCA Partner of Youth financial scholarship program provides assistance necessary for youth and families in our community to participate in vital programs and services such as child care, swim lessons, day camps, fitness programs, and a healthy and safe place to spend time and be active. When we come together to support our neighbors in their time of need, we help make our community stronger.

The Altru Family YMCA has been serving the Greater Grand Forks community for 135 years. Our programming and services meet the needs of individuals and families of all ages, fitness levels and abilities through sports, day camps, child care, swim lessons, fitness programs, safety certifications, wellness offerings and much more. The Y has been listening and responding to our communities’ most critical needs for over 175 years worldwide! Our key areas of focus are Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. At the Y, no one is turned away due to the lack of financial resources. We believe that all individuals have the right to achieve greater health and well-being for their spirit, mind and body.
