Weston Silver Band UK Tour Fundraiser

In June 2019, the Weston Silver Band will travel to England and become the first Canadian band to compete at Whit Friday, an open-air brass band contest that has been described as the “greatest free show on earth”. Over 125 brass bands, from youth bands to the best in the world, compete in Saddleworth, in the northwest of England. In addition to representing Canada at this international event, WSB will perform a number of concerts highlighting Canadian music and composers for audiences in England.

The Weston Silver Band (WSB) is a British-style brass band made up of accomplished musicians from the Greater Toronto area and beyond.
Three-time North American Brass Band Champions, the WSB actively seeks to promote the brass band tradition as an important part of the cultural heritage of Canada, as well as a dynamic voice for contemporary composers and arrangers, through artistic and educational performances.
